Eid Mubarak! (Syawal is still here so better late than never)
It has been super long since I've blogged about something. And yes after 2 or 3 years hiatus, this makcik is still with her Kurung but not so much of Kedah. Hehe π
While searching for my Raya outfit inspiration this year, I noticed that the Kedah Kurung is like in the trend. Making its come back after soooo many years. There's Kedah top with skirt, Kedah top with pockets, Kedah top with the Kain lipat and such. Wow!!! After 2016, I've practically moved on from Kedah tops (need to cover the bumπ) However, I can say I am pretty impressed with some of the fabric collection by some brands for these Kedahs. Their choices of fabric brings out a refreshing look from a traditional outfit.
I go for a different choice this year. Since majority are in the Kedah Kurung hype, I prefer going back to roots. Simple kurung.. traditional? π€ Not!!! Hehehe π As usual, I don't like "wasting" old kurungs so I dug them out of my wardrobe and paired them with batik (like my late nenek), with skirt (my favorite) and recently with my maxi palazzo (a denim one at thatπ). Comfy and Perfect imperfections are my themes this year. Quote one successful lady," People can tell you something looks good on you, you can just go with your choice coz important thing is you must have the confidence to wear what you choose". Like I always say,"If you have it, flaunt it"

You can be a plus-sized or whatever, important thing is confidence. Allah created everyone to be beautiful, of course, in their own way. So be confident!! π
With that being said, I am now pairing my kurung with my denim skirt πππ just coz I feel like it and yeah this year, I am no longer raya-ing in my Converse (too many people already).. now I am raya-ing in my Onitsuka Tiger π―π―π― Fierce!! Aaarrrrr!!!
